Job title: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Employer Information: Protech Systems. Riverside, CA 92504

Job Duties:                                                        

Participate in the research and development of new products (from R&D to mass production) in industrial controls and safety controls. Develop industrial equipment such as: Brake and Clutch Monitoring systems for Industrial presses, Curtain lights, Custom PLC controls, Motor Control, Industrial Communications Modules for IoT and similar equipment. Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans and work schedules for new product development. Document product design stages and elaborate test protocols to be performed as part of product validation. Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; test finished products and system capabilities. Communicate and work with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) vendors and manufacturers on activities related to printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly as per IPC and other ISO standards. Update and replace electronic components due to under performance, premature failures on the field or manufacturer obsolescence. Draw up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents. Analyze existing processes and schedule meetings to discuss improvement initiatives on current products. Create operational instructions and established procedures for repair and service of all the line of Protech products. Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis on failed products, find engineering solutions and risk mitigation for failed components. Liaise with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications. Perform special training to OSHA inspectors in the area of safety controls and related industrial equipment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience with electronic design software. Experience in circuit design (analog and digital), power supplies, sensors and Micro-controllers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 2 years’ experience as Electronics Engineer or Electrical Engineer or related.  40 hours per week.
